My semester is over, and I got all A’s, so I now have time to find (mostly) full-time employment. I started by working the polls Saturday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, during which time I told a few hundred people to sign their name and learned that almost everyone looks like crap on their driver’s license photo.

Today I visited Half Price Books and started my record collection by buying an Electric Light Orchestra double album, Out of the Blue, for $0.98. The guy at the counter, who I’d guess was in his 40’s, told me he had the album in perfect condition at home, and that it was a good album. Mine’s not in perfect shape, but it is almost thirty years old, after all, and records are cool enough that I can overlook minor audio artifacts.
