This is going to be another one of those times where I’ll be posting because I haven’t done it in infinite numbers of long times, not because I have anything Important to say. If you’re an Important Person you should probably go away and do Important Things. Everyone else can stick around.
School started… let’s see… last week. It looks like I’ll have an easy semester, but my Physics class requires some knowledge of Calculus and my Calculus class is still stuck in “let’s make sure you remember what you learned from your last math class” mode. I don’t mind that my Physics professor is sticking to Physics, but I must confess that yesterday in my Physics class I regarded the blackboard once with spaced-out bewilderment, and the night before I was puzzled, exhausted and “I’m going to stab this textbook many times with my pencil”-ish at my Physics homework. I remember some wavy lines, a little triangle the book kept calling “delta” (which I think is a letter in the German alphabet), and cryptic instructions along the lines of “fornicate the third divisor according to the Law of Rules of Five Winding Paths”. Hopefully it’ll get easier.
Thankfully, it looks like my other classes are going to be a breeze. Calculus should be a cinch once I’m actually taught it, Fitness and Wellness is mostly broad summaries (since exercise takes half our time), and C++ Programming is going to be about as difficult as dragging a pile of sticks through another pile of sticks and getting the two piles to stick together.
In other news, my computer arrived home damaged. My data is still intact, as far as I can tell, but two important pieces (the CPU and motherboard) don’t work, so neither does my computer. I won’t yet mention the company which shipped it, because it remains to be seen whether they’ll be nice and pay for the damage or mean and tell me to skutch off, but I will reveal that their name is something like United States Federal Postal and Parcel Service Express Business Package Delivery FastFast SmileTruck.
In closing, I’d like to stop writing this post and go away to do something else.
Bye.
Later: The damages were not paid for. And while I’m still reluctant to mention the name of the shipping company, I can say that their initials were FedEx.
